COURSE OVERVIEW

This Introduction to SMS course delivers the essential concepts in understanding SMS for all staff in an organisation. It discusses the need for SMS to be embedded into the culture of an organisation and provides a basic level of knowledge to meet this requirement.
Upon completion all staff will be able to: • Explain what a SMS is • List the key components of a SMS • List the key benefits of a SMS • Describe how a SMS works • Explain the systems approach to safety management • Explain how a SMS differs from the traditional approach to safety management
The INTRODUCTION TO SMS course has been designed to benefit all staff, from new hires through to experienced frontline and management personal. Everybody in your operation benefits, because an effective SMS requires a safety-first culture embedded in every aspect of an organization.
